We're currently on the lookout for an experienced Operations Program Manager to join our thriving Fairfield site. As an integral part of our team, you'll oversee operations resources within the Operations Value Stream, driving the successful completion of critical recovery items, engaging with customers, and spearheading capital projects. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency through meticulous adherence to procedures, ensuring budget compliance, and expertly managing schedules. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute recovery plans for swift resolution of operational disruptions.

  • Track progress and ensure seamless return to normal operations.

  • Serve as central point of contact for resolving operational issues.

  • Collaborate across departments for timely resolutions.

  • Facilitate meaningful interactions with customers, including PMRs and weekly reviews.

  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive engagement.

  • Track and report critical customer deliveries.

  • Utilize Line of Balance and project plans for effective delivery management.

  • Coordinate cost, schedule, and delivery estimates for capital project proposals.

  • Provide accurate assessments to aid in proposal development.

  • Guide teams across diverse functions to drive project success.

  • Foster collaboration and communication without direct authority.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans and monitor progress using key metrics.

  • Address issues promptly to maintain project momentum.

  • Efficiently allocate resources and oversee project budgets.

  • Ensure adherence to financial constraints for optimal resource utilization.

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure projects comply with regulatory and company standards.

  • Evaluate project outcomes and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Take corrective actions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Keep thorough project documentation for reference and audit purposes.

  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on project status and recovery efforts.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience in Operations and/or Manufacturing environments, with a proven history of navigating operational challenges.

  • Demonstrated success in project management, steering initiatives from conception to completion with precision and agility.

  • Extensive background in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes, and enhancing organizational efficiency.

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • Proven track record of engaging directly with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address their needs effectively.

  • Proficient in "Site Recovery" strategies, specializing in backlog and inventory reduction techniques.

  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, optimizing processes for efficiency and productivity.

  • Strong communication skills, adept at conveying ideas clearly and fostering collaboration.

  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations to executive leadership, effectively articulating strategies, and insights.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
