The Joint Operations Center supports two primary directorates, the AD-CS Directorate, and the Assistant Director (AD), Healthcare Operations (HCO) Directorate, and ultimately the Director, Defense Health Agency. This is accomplished through staff integration, knowledge management, crisis response coordination, and Combat Support Agency (CSA) mission implementation. The JOC serves as the focal point of information flow into DHA from external commands then disseminated throughout the organization, down to the markets and back up to various higher headquarters.The DHA JOC is the centerpiece for planning, coordination, and synchronization of daily operations in relation to combat medical support to the military departments and combatant commands, as well as healthcare operations within military treatment facilities (MTF) providing synergy for effective and efficient mission accomplishment in support of the DHA, Joint Staff (JS), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Services and the Military Health System (MHS) enterprise. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced Military Planner, serves as an advanced technical expert of all planning methodologies and applications in all phases of military operations to provide analytical expertise and expert knowledge of operational design and operation planning.

  • Participates as subject matter expert (SME) in activities that support Joint Planning Groups, Operational Planning Groups (OPG), Operational Planning Teams (OPT), and Working Groups (WG).

  • Participate in medical operations planning activities coordinated through the APEX and GFM planning process that integrate medical capabilities and support concepts into Joint, Service and CCMD operational and contingency plans, orders, directives and manuals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5-7 years’ experience as a Joint Operation Planner, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience with completion of an advanced Service Planner school (SAMS, SAASS, JAWS, etc.) and/or 5+ years of experience as medical planner (ex. 1S7 for USN, 70HN for USA, or R-prefix for USAF), preferred

  • Working knowledge of the JPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively.

  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information and/or technology.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.

  • Ability to use logical and creative thought processes.

  • Ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality.

  • Proficient skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dev base plan support con-op; con-plan; service component; combatant commands (co-com); be able to name a plan you developed and name and understand Navy fleets, Field grade Level officer.

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
