We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst. This dynamic organization has an Accounts Receivable position with a noteworthy benefits package, available through Robert Half. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will work in the Far Rockaway, New York region. This position is for candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

• Increase cash flow by following up on missed payments and updating financial records.

• Meets accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems and effectively communicating with billing team to resolve issues.

• Collects accounts by contacting customers; investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts and expediting payment.

• Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions.

• Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.

• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting general ledger account transactions.

• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in ERP systems

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• Comprehensive knowledge of Aging Reports

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Collections experience

• Microsoft Excel experience preferred

• Adeptness in billing

• Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
