RedHat Open Transformation Lead - Commercial - U.K. in Farnborough, United Kingdom
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Open Transformation Lead to join us in Farnborough, U.K. In this role, you will focus on a small number of accounts with a need or potential to modernize or transform the way they enable their business to exceed customer expectations. You’ll gain the trust of the customer and the account team, and engage at all levels to establish opportunities and build relationships that will generate a roadmap of revenue for Red Hat. You’ll need to have a solid understanding of industry trends in order to establish credibility at the business level and articulate the benefit of working with Red Hat as a strategic partner. We are looking for an individual with experience and ability to work with the Red Hat account teams to help them to identify, progress, and large multi product and services sales, by identifying business issues that can be addressed by Red Hat early in the solution life cycle.
In the last few years Red Hat has transformed into a company that has the ability to help its customers to differentiate themselves and maintain their margin. The advent of container technology and the resulting Red Hat platform is a key enabler to achieve this, however technology alone does not necessarily lead to success. The change in processes and cultural evolution required to adopt this technology are familiar to Red Hat. In working closely with the upstream open source community Red Hat has learned to enable innovation from all levels of the organisation to thrive. The Red Hat culture is built on principles such as transparency and meritocracy and can be used to help guide customers through their own cultural evolution.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with the account teams to identify potential digital transformation opportunities
Build relevance with the customer that enables Red Hat to engage early in the solutioning cycle with the customer and positively influence the outcomes with Red Hat capabilities
Engage early to generate interest and have valid points of view on customer’s goals and challenges
Navigate the customer organization and find the multiple stakeholders necessary to progress the opportunity and provide confidence to the customer
Lead or provide significant input into sales strategies and qualification of opportunities
Gain an understanding of the Red Hat services capabilities and position these services as part of a roadmap and to help innovate the offerings to maintain their relevance
Gain an understanding of the ecosystem around the customer and identify and guide the key partners and influencers to technology decisions toward Red Hat where appropriate
5+ years of experience of successfully leading sales teams through complex or transformational solutions to enterprise customers that include software products and professional services
Ability to uncover the customers strategic ambition and position software and services as a key contributor to success by clearly linking the capabilities of the technology to the business goal
Motivated and creativity to inspire sales teams and customers to challenge the status quo
Understanding of the importance of cultural evolution and change management to successfully adopt new technologies
Excellent leadership skills, ability to coach team members and customers, and carefully bring people toward the desired strategy or outcome
Growth mindset and curiosity to maintain presence across technology, process, and culture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; workshop facilitation and presentation skills
Proven ability to work with regional and global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
Willingness to to travel up to 405 to be onsite with customers
