Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in aviation science, business, finance, or a related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.extensive supervisory experience. 8 years related administrative/operations/finance experience with a background in aircraft maintenance business.

Position Purpose:

Coordinate and perform a variety of administrative and support services for the Service Center Business including: manpower and business planning, resource control, forecasting revenues, personnel administration, budget preparation and monitoring. Supervise support personnel to provide timely and accurate invoices for customers.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and train business and support personnel. Develop departmental policies and procedures to ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.

  • Assist with business planning development for Product Support at assigned facility. Monitor the plan including manpower, non-salary, travel, etc. Provide forecasted revenues for labor, paint, parts, fuel, miscellaneous sales, etc.

  • Develop, implement, and manage accurate, current and comprehensive information and reporting systems to ensure all invoices for completed work are issued, tracked and promptly paid.

  • Provide Work Change Request (WCRs) for potential services on customer aircraft. Track actual charges to tasks with standards and assign standards as required. Resolve invoicing problems by investigating and negotiating customer acceptance.

  • Prepare activity progress and accrual reports, financial analyses, and other management reports as requested. Handle special projects as assigned.

  • Oversee and direct the credit status and receivables accounts to ensure optimum company benefit.

  • Develop lean processes for business office and product support areas with emphasis on supporting production lean processes. .

  • Negotiate resolutions with other Gulfstream facilities when inter-company financial issues arise.

Additional Functions:

  • Establish yearly goals for the Business and Support group. Monitor performance to ensure goals are accomplished. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability and possess strong communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills with the ability to be creative and resourceful in dealing with constant varying requirements and situations.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Current working knowledge of applicable FAA regulations is required. Must be familiar with foreign certification requirements.

  • Pilots license or mechanic certification is beneficial.
