Cardinal Health Operations Supervisor (William Osler Health Centre) in FIELD, Ontario

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is accountable for the day-to-day planning, directing and coordination of activities related to distribution operations within a union environment at multi-site hospital environment, and manages the achievement of company targets including quality standards, productivity levels, and customer specific service level agreements.
The Operations Supervisor is responsible to ensure that William Osler Health Centre (WOHC) service requirements are met by having staffing available for all required distribution activities. This role is responsible to maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as mutually defined with the WOHC and EDFS.
The Operations Supervisor performs all duties associated with the warehouse in accordance with all Cardinal Health standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be :
Daily direction, coordination, and evaluation of the EllisDon Materials Services employees
Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Training employees; planning/scheduling, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Contributing to monthly staff meetings and Health and safety training sessions
Working closely with interdepartmental management staff, department leadership, and Nursing Managers from the hospital units
Maintaining an open communication personally and through emails in a timely and consistent manner
Monitoring and anticipating staffing requirements such as training, efficiency, and staff attendance
Verifies that health & safety, housekeeping and loss prevention are enforced consistently
Direct activities for cart maintenance; maintain review schedule
Preparation and maintenance of KPI’s
Problem and issue resolution when escalated beyond Stockless Technician
Maintaining all equipment as per accepted practice
Coordinating removal of identified defective product from PUIL

The Job might be for you if you:
You possess between 3 to 5 years related leadership experience or stockless inventory process experience
You have proven leadership, problem solving and team building skills
You can interpret and provide training on policies and procedure
You have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and group presentation skills)
You enjoy working with computers and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
You enjoy problem-solving, adapting to change and reprioritizing on short-notice
You have a strong Workplace Health and Safety background; WSIB and First Aid certification preferred
You have Material Handling Equipment Training experience, which is considered an asset
