Intel Biometrics Security Architect in Folsom, California

Job Description

Intel’s IPAS Architecture team delivers both architecture and implementation on four pillars: foundational security, workload protection, software reliability and security assurance. The team is also chartered with understanding the next generation of security threats and technologies, while guiding future research and architecture decisions to secure Intel’s platforms while fostering a security first culture into Intel's product development and strategic practices. IPAS architecture is looking for experts to lead product architecture that secure biometric identification while preserving user privacy.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for secure design, development and operation of Intel's hardware and software products and services.

  • Responsibilities may include threat assessments, design of security components, and vulnerability assessment.

  • Ensures products conform to standards and specifications.

  • Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risks.

  • Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal processes.

  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, attacks and contributes to literature and conferences.

  • May participate in development of intellectual property.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of security practices, procedures and capabilities in order to perform nonrepetitive, analytical work.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 10 years developing software drivers and/or embedded firmware:

  • 2 years of software and/or firmware architecture.

  • 5+ year of experience in biometrics (face, voice, fingerprint)

  • 8+ years of experience leading collaborative SW/FW/silicon development is required

  • 4+ years of experience with security, and/or system management technologies in the PC, Tablet, and Phone ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated success in designing and leading the implementation of complex software/firmware architectures to aggressive deadlines and involving multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in design of e-commerce and/or secure biometrics solutions that meet Industry expectations such as EMVco, FIDO, GDPR.
