This job opportunity will be part of the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) group which is responsible for the portions of the system foundry that brings the best of Intel technologies to IFS customers, differentiating and accelerating their solutions from architecture to post-silicon validation.

In this role you will:

  • Develops embedded software/firmware within environments that have constrained timing and memory resources, designs and implements reusable code, performs design and code reviews, as well as tests and validates product implementations.

  • Role may require experience in system architecture and modeling, operating systems, device architecture, system integration, algorithm modeling, digital signal processing, and/or hardware design.

  • Works with a variety of storage interface standards.

  • Performs system level design modeling, and systems integration, additionally performing algorithm modeling, benchmarking implementation, and/or digital signal processing.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or in any STEM related field of study 6+ years of experience in Firmware Development Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in firmware/software design, implementation and debugging.

  • 5+ years of experience of C/C++ or Python programming skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate/post-graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or STEM related field of study

  • Experience documenting Architectural Specification.

  • Experience with firmware requirements management.

  • Experience leading technical teams and projects.

  • Experience with Functional Safety Firmware implementation.

  • Experience with ISO-9001 and SPICE Firmware development processes.

  • Advanced experience with Python, C/C++.

  • Experience with Linux development.

  • Experience with embedded software development, debug or validation.

  • Experience writing Unit or system level tests. Experience working with a team of engineers using Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with AI or Security.

  • Experience writing early boot FW (BIOS, UEFI, TF-A, early boot code).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $144,501.00-$217,311.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
