We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Category Director to lead our Oil and Lubricants business. The Category Director will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic and operational direction and driving the day-to-day tactical execution of the category. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for achieving financial targets and fostering growth through strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and thrive in a cross-functional, matrix environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve financial targets and drive growth within the Oil and Lubricants category.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies, including product line expansion, portfolio management, product positioning, strategic pricing, strategic partnerships, and sales channel strategy.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation within the category.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Procurement, PD&E, Operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and execution of category initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor and track category performance metrics, KPIs, and market share to measure progress against goals and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to inform decision-making and maintain competitive advantage.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports and cross-functional team members to foster a high-performance culture and drive results.

  • Champion a customer-centric approach by understanding and anticipating customer needs and preferences to deliver best-in-class products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in category management, product management, marketing, or related roles within the Marine, Powersports, or related industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategic plans to achieve financial targets and drive growth.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of oil and lubricants industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and leading cross-functional teams is preferred.

  • Must possess the motivation, desire, passion, ambition, and self-motivation to strive for excellence and exceed expectations.
