Position Summary:

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for developing strategies that result in foot traffic, sales leads, and improved look and feel for Mercury’s network of dealers, retailers, and OEM customers. The Retail Marketing Manager must have the ability to develop marketing strategies, define deliverables for campaigns and projects, and manage projects from inception through execution. A key accountability will be to ensure marketing campaigns, sales, and promotions are optimized to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate is a diligent and proactive planner, highly organized, and incredibly detail focused.

This person will work collaboratively with people inside and outside of the department and must be an excellent communicator, thinking through who needs to know what information and ensuring alignment. The Retail Marketing Manager will take lead on communicating with dealers and key retailers to drive business targets.

This person will also be responsible for post-campaign reporting, including after action reviews, metrics, and surveys.

This is a hybrid position with the expectation to be onsite at our HQ in Fond du Lac 2 days a week.

Responsible for:

  • Being the directly responsible individual for Retail Marketing campaigns, sales & promotions, programs, and initiatives:

  • Leading the team in developing the marketing strategy for campaign deliverables

  • Overseeing the execution of Retail Marketing campaigns and projects through various channels

  • Ensuring all campaigns are implemented effectively, correctly, on time, and on budget

  • Daily monitoring of projects to ensure the team has clear direction on what to do, and the projects are moving along

  • Managing their own projects in our project management tool, including organizing all deliverables and dates

  • Collecting and reporting out on post-campaign metrics and feedback

  • Driving the Retail Marketing roadmap

  • Working collaboratively with departments outside of marketing such as sales, product, and legal as well as customers such as dealers, retailers and OEM

  • Communicating the calendar and key details to internal departments, stakeholders, and dealers

  • Assisting in developing and monitoring the marketing budget for Retail Marketing

  • Assisting in development and execution of in-store graphics, signage, and planogram visual roadmap

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Marketing role

  • Able to provide clear, organized direction to the Marketing team so others can do their jobs

  • Highly organized, rarely missing tasks or timelines

  • Professional experience in the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) retail market (omni-channel)

  • Diplomatically assertive, able to persuade while building trust and confidence.

  • Legacy of accomplishment working with people at all levels to deliver business results.

  • Creative, decisive, collaborative, responsive, able to work independently and take responsibility for decisions and outcomes. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
