The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Candidates who can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services, will be preferred for this position. This is a direct permanent opportunity, 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

• Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

• Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

• Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis

• Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

• Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations

• Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

• Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

• Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

• Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly Requirements - Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

• Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

• Cost accounting experience desired

• Budget forecasting experience

• Manufacturing experience

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
