Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst

Location: Forest Park, GA (100% onsite)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

Are you detail-oriented with a knack for numbers? Our client in Forest Park is seeking a diligent A/P Analyst to join their team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and smooth payment processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter payables into the Prophet21 system

  • Assign correct GL accounts to payments/expenses

  • Write checks using the P21 system

  • Reconcile and investigate discrepancies on vendors’ statements

  • Verify, input, and validate vendor invoices

  • Tabulate vendor pay dates and process checks

  • Manage direct vendor payments using PosPay

  • Process approved employee credit card payments

  • Address vendor inquiries and maintain relationships

  • Set up new vendors and maintain payment deadlines

  • Verify invoices against purchase orders

  • Clarify questionable invoice items or prices

  • Maintain records of outstanding payables and memos

  • Verify Federal ID numbers of vendors

  • Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices

  • Answer incoming calls and route to the appropriate team member

  • File required paperwork and prepare for the coming year

  • Verify receipt of payments to utilities

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting

  • Proficiency in Prophet21 and P21 systems preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Collaborative team environment
