SharePoint Developer – Enterprise IT

Belvoir, VA.
At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a SharePoint Developer you will support the program’s information technology, data service, SharePoint, and mission applications. For SharePoint, these requirements are inclusive of providing development, design, access control, workflows, and content and data management.
How you will make an impact:
Design, develop, and manage site content and capabilities and provide daily site maintenance of the existing agency portals following structured development, test, and release management processes in addition to change management and configuration control.
Gather the necessary requirements from the stakeholders that will enable the design, development, and management of site content on the agency’s portals.
Work closely with each site owner to accomplish this task. Candidate will serve as the central portal administrator for the agency. All efforts related to the design, development, and management of site content and capabilities will begin with a request via the agency ticketing system.
Ensure portal access is established via military NIPRNET and/or SIPRNET connectivity and other Government provided WAN connections. Candidate shall ensure accessibility by working in conjunction with the Enterprise Service Providers and the system administrators/engineers to ensure accessibility via the NIPRNET and/or SIPRNET and the availability of other WAN connections to ensure multiple accessibility for access.
Apply current power apps, power automate graphics design, and .NET technologies to develop, modify, and maintain SharePoint portals. Candidate shall possess the requisite knowledge of current graphics design and shall be familiar with the specified technologies in order to address requests for development and modifications submitted via the agency’s ticketing system.
Maintain key components of the software suite using current Microsoft tools such as SharePoint Online, power apps, power automate, and Microsoft 365, in addition to the classic Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft .Net and SharePoint 2013 and 2016. Candidate shall possess the requisite technical knowledge of the specified software in order to maintain key components of the software suite.
Candidate shall, when requested through the agency ticketing system, develop and implement SharePoint based workflows by meeting with stakeholders to gain an understanding of their business processes and business rules in order to translate them from manual processes into SharePoint based workflow processes. Candidate shall meet with stakeholders to understand the information that needs to be communicated and summarized using Business dashboards that provide a snapshot of information in real time. Upon gathering this information, the candidate shall create Business dashboards to visually communicate the information.
Document and demonstratesolutions by developingdocumentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams,charts, code comments and clear code. The candidate shalldevelopdocumentation using a combination of thespecified options and shall use a codelibrarytodocument,package, and reusecode components,all of which will be archived and referencedforlater developmentexpansion orissueresolution. The candidate shall be able to provide training to users on various functionality aspects of SharePoint.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5+ years of overall demonstrated experience with SharePoint Online, Power Apps, power automate Microsoft 365, classic Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft .Net and SharePoint 2013 and 2016.
Must know how to create custom pages, views, business process flows, workflows, and business rules based on customer requirements.
Minimum 2 years experience designing, configuring, and implementing SharePoint portals using power apps and Power Automate. Must be able to configure basic branding, site navigation, and create web forms that involve multiple steps and related entities.
Experience with implementing new Microsoft SharePoint Online sites a plus.

Certification Requirements:
Must meet DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements prior to start of work
Minimum certifications at time of interview (must be current – include expiration dates in resume): Security+ CE
Must meet Computing Environment certification requirements no later than 3 months from candidate start date on program.
Example: MS 600-Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate, PL-400 Microsoft Power Platform Developer, or similar

8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday – may require occasional shift in work schedule to cover tasking.
Currently primarily telework. Requires on-site support one or more days per week. Could change to full time on site on direction by the government.
