Description of Work Unit
The Department of Finance and Real Estate is one of five departments in the College of Business. The Department has a strong record of research accomplishments and provides excellent research support, with subscriptions to most common databases. The Department offers a Master of Finance, and undergraduate concentrations in finance, financial planning, and real estate, and participates in the other programs of the College. The Department currently has 13 tenure-track and 6 non-tenure track faculty. The Department serves the more than 700 undergraduate students in finance, financial planning, and real estate.

Position Summary
The Professor of Finance and Real Estate will be expected to develop an impactful research program, publish in top finance journals (e.g., Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis), and effectively teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. This individual will have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness at the graduate level and will have published high-quality, impactful research in the field’s top journals. The Professor will have research programs that are aligned with the College’s Business for a Better World (B4BW) vision and will further the reputations of the Department and College as they relate to this vision. In addition, the Professor will be committed to the diversity and inclusion goals of the Department/College and CSU’s land grant mission.

Required Job Qualifications
