Description of Work Unit

The Art & Art History Department curriculum supports majors in Studio Art (BA, BFA and MFA ), Art History (BA), and Art Education ( BFA ). Concentrations include: Art Education, Art History, Drawing, Electronic Art, Fibers, Graphic Design, Metalsmithing, Painting, Photo Image Making, Pottery, Printmaking, and Sculpture. Position Summary

Instructors are hired to teach courses in studio art, art education, and art history areas. This pool is for non-tenure track positions and is intended to collect applications throughout the year. The department draws from this pool if and when there is a need for a non-tenure track (and often temporary) instructor in a specific area or for a specific class. There may be any number of reasons for this type of hire: temporary sabbatical replacement, instructor replacement, retirements, emergency medical leave replacements, etc.

Candidates should have relevant teaching experience.

A terminal degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
