Job Description:

As a CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) Engineer, you will lead the design, construction, implementation, and daily management of initiatives pertaining to privileged access management solutions for a program spanning multiple system platforms, databases, and applications. Your adaptable skills are not tied to specific vendors and can be enhanced through further vendor-specific training.

Your responsibilities encompass the entire lifecycle management of PAM products and services. This involves engineering tasks to develop the solution, generating business documents and reports to convey technical plans, diagrams, white papers, and conducting technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring security compliance, such as addressing STIGs relevant to the solution, and managing daily activities within your assigned areas, utilizing SME resources, are also part of your role.

You will define operational concepts related to the PAM solution, including necessary procedures and tools for seamless integration and operation. Your expertise will guide both internal teams and external stakeholders, offering insights and analysis to support program objectives in this domain. Should the need arise, you will evaluate alternative solutions to determine the most effective strategies aligned with emerging program goals.

This position is HYBRID, requiring the selected candidate to report on-site several days a week to our Ft. Meade, MD facility.

Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in privileged access management (PAM) with emphasis on CyberArk.

Use expert knowledge and experience to develop and apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.

Advises less experienced employees on developing highly complex documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

Uses expert knowledge and experience in the preparation and installation of the privileged access management system by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

Leads the development of privileged access management solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems utilization, solution usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the agile development methodologies iteratively deliver capability.

Helps establish operational plans.

Uses specialized knowledge to develop highly detailed documentation for new or existing initiatives in the area of PAM.

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.

Participate in Scrum calls.

Active engagement with the program customer, providing expert guidance and solutioning.

Develop plans, drawings, and briefs.

Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.

Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.

Prepare and present test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.

Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform, and infrastructure configurations.

Provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on project status, schedule, and quality in comparison to objectives.

May serve as a task or project leader. (Not a people manager)

What you’ll need to succeed (Required):

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years related technical experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Active Secret security clearance required.

CompTIA Security+ CE certification (or higher) required.

Experience across various computing disciplines, such as cloud-based technologies, computing, and applications.

Experience integrating various platforms with CyberArk, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Radiant Logic, SailPoint.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frequent delivery cadence.

Ability to support a hybrid work environment which requires weekly on-site support at our Ft. Meade, MD facility.

What you’ll need to succeed (Desired):

Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
