Air Education and Training Command Office Automation Clerk in Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston School Age Program located in San Antonio, TX This is a Regular Part-Time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Creates and maintains official files and other reference material IAW established producers. Uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents. Uses database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort or calculate and retrieve data for reports. Answer questions concerning programs, fees, polices and administrative requirement. Ensure funds are properly handled and stored. Collects fees, issues receipts and prepares cash reports as needed. Records payments, post account, and deposit at end of day. Calculates fees to be paid to all instructors, officials and summer-hire employees. Notifies supervisor of account deficiencies, Types forms, letters, memorandums, position descriptions, staff summaries and other documentation in final format. Includes responsibility for correct spelling, paragraphing, grammar and format. Purchase and stocks office stocks office supplies and order materials. Maintains timekeeping records for program employees. Assist in completing required daily report Opens, closes and secures facility as required, Accounts for site assets, i.e. facilities, equipment, supplies, etc. Ensures reception area and office are maintained in an orderly manner an d is inviting to you and parents. Updates bulletin boards and informational areas, Notifies supervisor or type appropriate office immediately of any suspected child abuse or neglected. Makes daily distribution visits to administrative and financial office.
