THE WORK

RMS Derco is seeking an experienced International Trade Compliance professional to support export and import activities. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of U.S. Export control laws and regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In this role you will be responsible for:

• Preparation, implementation, and modification of export and import license applications, technical assistance agreements, manufacturing license agreements, and exemption or exception usage to support program execution and new business opportunities.

• Provide guidance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of approved export authorizations and research and interpret complex Government regulations such as the ITAR and EAR.

• Collaborate with various Program personnel to define licensing requirements and prepare license applications in compliance with the ITAR and EAR. Conduct import/export compliance training, including limitations and provisos on export authorizations, for Program and general employee population.

• Process employee international travel, foreign person visit requests, procurement requests, shipping requests, support development and implementation of export / import policies and procedures.

• Perform product jurisdiction and classifications analysis to determine regulatory authority and review all export shipments for compliance with authorized scope.

• Participate and support development of compliance plans and projects; export and import tools and process improvements.; support and conduct compliance self-assessments and investigations into potential export or import issues.

WHO YOU ARE

You possess demonstrated knowledge of export/import compliance requirements and trade laws, strong written and oral communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. You can work independently and with a team to problem-solve and address complex challenges while being open to continuous learning.

Basic Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

• Knowledge of export/import processes.

• Ability to communicate (written / oral) effectively to collaborate with stakeholders.

• Must be able to enforce compliance with export-import laws and regulations.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.

• Occasional travel will be required.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding and experience with IFS ERP system

• Experience with ECLPS Tool or other USG license processing tools

• Prior work in aerospace and defense, specifically related to aircraft and avionics

• Investigations and audits for trade compliance violations

• A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 4 to 6+ years of professional experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
