As the Production Control Leader for a specific business unit on the F-35 Program, you will drive material planning and production coordination efforts.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Leadership & Production Control :

• Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for Production Control on the Program Performance Management Team (PPMT).

• Interface directly with all levels of management, fostering cross-functional integration across production, supply chain, and engineering teams.

• Lead manpower management through the development and maintenance of a Manpower Matrix, ensuring proper budgetary control and resource alignment.

Material Management & Optimization :

• Ensure that all materials are available in the right place at the right time, managing material flow, and minimizing disruptions to production.

• Monitor and manage material metrics, taking action on unplanned material adds from previous weeks.

• Validate and review material shortages in collaboration with Control Account Managers (CAM) and assess impacts on Estimated Costs at Completion (EACs).

• Review schedule stability to ensure production timelines remain consistent and achievable.

System & Operational Integrity :

• Maintain system accuracy to ensure data integrity for the PPMT.

• Validate Planning Factors for Production Line Supplies (PLS), Operating Supplies, Consumables, and Perishable Tools, ensuring they meet operational needs.

• Review and manage operating supply costs and previous month's actual expenditures to drive continuous improvement in cost management.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manufacturing or Production Operations experience.

• Experience in least two of the following areas: procurement, engineering release, bill of material structure &/or production operating processes.

• Experience with SAP operating software, including transactional acumen.

• Experience in direct leadership of subordinate employees

Desired Skills:

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Green Belt certified.

• Production Operations / Production Control experience.

• Knowledge of management in a union environment and demonstrated leadership skills to manage represented personnel.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Working knowledge of aeronautics systems; SAP, Cribmaster, QADS, SFM.

• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Experience with support equipment and manufacturing test equipment.

• Successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, mediation and conflict resolution skills and negotiation skills

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written along with presentation experience and skills.

• APICS / CPIM Certifications preferred.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
