Lockheed Martin Software Automation Engineer - Level 2 in Fort Worth, Texas

Description:

You will be the Software Automation Engineer for the Build Integration & Automation Team. Our team designs, develops, and updates in-house and commercial software to enable critical test automation infrastructure -- improving capabilities and usability for developers and test teams to drive faster integration and development of aircraft software. You will be an integral part of supporting the infrastructure for test automation including utilities to support UI interaction, data analysis, image recognition and classification into automation utilities across multiple platforms for common tooling in the automation framework.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Automation Engineer you will be responsible for the technology development lifecycle, including system and software design and collaboration, automation tooling and infrastructure improvements, and software integration. Work will include a multitude of host systems, including aircraft software, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.

You will be a member of a high-performing multi-program team and must have demonstrated effective communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing, integrating, supporting, and debugging software

- Troubleshooting and supporting CI/CD build pipelines

- Supporting the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes

- Designing, developing and leveraging open-source, commercial and in-house software to support automation infrastructure

- Attending and participating in daily scrums, sprint reviews and technical demos

- Leading small software teams with scope on specific capability/functionality

The position will require frequent inter-organizational customer interactions. This role is critical to the automation infrastructure, software integration and software build process in support of several programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Python C++or Java programming experience

• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)

• Linux/Unix experience

• CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket experience

Desired Skills:

• Automation tools and development experience

• Real-time simulation software development and integration experience

• Debugging tools experience

• Leading software projects experience

• Developing software on Linux experience

• A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems

• Supporting aircraft build pipelines experience

• Aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
