Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. If you're looking for work where you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Major responsibilities

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Solid understanding of general ledger

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Deep understanding of month end closings

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
