Description Robert Half has a full-time opportunity for Staff Accountant candidates who want to become a critical part of an innovative company. This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role will involve internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Located in the Fort Worth, Texas area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

What you get to do every single day

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Strong familiarity with Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

• Account reconciliation experience required

• Journal entries experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Current and relevant ERP system experience

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards
