We are in search of a Web Application Developer, to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is crucial for developing and supporting web-based, mobile-aware Java applications and web services. As part of our agile team, you will collaborate with various internal stakeholders including management, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, and other developers. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal customers, management, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, and other developers to understand requirements and development needs.

• Create and maintain current applications, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance tuning in various IT portfolios.

• Research and implement new technology to enhance current processes, security, and performance.

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identify and implement solutions.

• Coordinate with production operations department to ensure smooth deployments and provide appropriate support to customer groups.

• Document validation of design decisions and contribute to the creation and enforcement of policy and procedural changes within the development group.

• Participate in code reviews and provide on-call production support as required.

  Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years total development experience.

• 1-year web application or services experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of web application experience.

• Experience in the Airline Industry.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and best practices.

• Development skills with Java, JSP, JMS, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, GIT, JQuery, Angular, SOAP/REST.

• Experience with GitHUB and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Cloudant, MySQL).

• Ability to scrutinize applications and services for adherence to security standards.

• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to Agile principles and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Knowledge of TDD, automated testing, PCI Compliance / OWASP standards, diagnostics tools (Postman, SOAPUI, HTTP Analyzer, Dynatrace).
