Job Description
Due to a healthy pipeline of work, our Buildings & Places group are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team, based in Brisbane. This role would suit someone who possesses excellent technical and design skills, with the ability to deliver projects across a range of market sectors.
What will a day in this role look like:
Utilise your extensive design experience to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective project delivery on health, defence, transport and other building projects across ANZ.
Lead Mechanical design and project delivery for our major client projects including the technical review of projects.
Work effectively within a team of multi-disciplinary engineers on a range of projects, using your technical expertise to drive quality through review of design calculations, specifications and drawings.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the business when preparing technical design documentation.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
Ideally, 10-12+ years’ experience working for a Building Services consultancy or have significant design experience working as a Senior / Project Engineer in the Mechanical Contracting field.
RPEQ qualified with a proven record in technical design and project delivery whilst maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
In-depth understanding of Building Services projects and Standards to impart your technical knowledge to clients, junior engineers and broader teams on a range of major projects.
Exposure to running multiple technical projects simultaneously with demonstrable design experience across a variety of market sectors.
Excellent communication and people skills with the passion and ability to mentor and train younger Engineers within the business.
Drive innovation and efficiency improvements within the team.
