Our client, an Automotive Manufacturer, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong process improvements, quality engineering and supplier management skills which will align successfully in the organization. Must have experience with Automotive manufacturing quality processes including plastic injection molding, metal stamping, machining, assembly and/or paint application.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $60-$70/hr plus Benefits

What’s the Job?

• Overseeing process improvements and continuous improvement for automotive products

• Works with R&D Engineers to assess manufacturability of new products

• Works with Engineering to help select appropriate suppliers and then oversee full design through manufacturing processes with suppliers

• Works with suppliers on corrective actions, auditing, reporting, etc.

• Heavy analysis and reporting work related to quality processes

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3+ years' experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering in Automotive Manufacturing

• 3+ years' experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) in Automotive, Aerospace or Medical Device industries

• Strong experience with automotive manufacturing processes including plastic injection molding, metal stamping, machining, assembly, painting, etc.

• Experience in Supplier Quality selection and management

• Experience with GD&T, tooling and fixture verification and validation and final buyoff with the supplier
