Robert Half Logistics Administrative and Payroll Specialist in Fresno, California

Description We are in search of a diligent Payroll Administrator to join our team in Fresno, California. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in managing administrative operations, handling payroll processes, and overseeing billing activities within our logistics department. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily administrative tasks, accurate payroll processing, and precise billing and invoicing, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of general office administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and filing documents

• Maintain and update records, databases, and files for efficient data retrieval and reporting

• Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the logistics team

• Process payroll for all logistics staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations

• Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly

• Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and on time

• Track and reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments

• Handle billing inquiries from clients and resolve any issues related to invoicing

• Assist in coordinating logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management

• Ensure all administrative, payroll, and billing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

• Prepare and submit regular reports on payroll, billing, and administrative activities to management

• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required

• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient logistics operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Check Processing

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with the Logistics Industry

• Understanding of DOT Compliance regulations

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
