Description:

  • Physicians orders are evaluated accurately for input into the pharmacy computer systemfor all disease states and patient age groups.

  • Incompatibility data, drug interaction data, and drug allergy information is thoroughly reviewed for each order processed.

  • Adverse drug reactions reported are accurate and thorough.

  • Orders input is timely and consistent with workload demands.

  • All medications and intravenous solutions dispensed are checked for accuracy and completeness.

  • All dispensed pharmaceuticals are accurately weighed, measured, admixed, and labeled properly.

Position Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. A Pharmacy Technician usually spends the day on their feet finding medications, counting, calculating, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.

What you will do:

  • Preparing new prescription and refill requests for patients

  • Dispensing medication to patients per the prescription, or provider's orders

  • Packing and labeling a prescribed medication

What you will need:

  • Must have National Pharmacy Technician Certification or in Lieu of this Certification a Licensed Pharmacist Intern is required.

  • Must be registered with the State of FL as a Pharmacy Technician

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years additional education and/or experience
