Job Description:
The Department of Neuroscience is seeking a highly skilled Training Grants Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Director for Administrative Services, this role will be integral in managing and supporting the training grants within the Department of Neuroscience and other foundation science departments. The successful candidate will coordinate and track all personnel, fiscal, academic, and administrative functions required to support these specialized training grants throughout their lifecycle.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Collaborate with departmental administration to manage and oversee training grants within the Department of Neuroscience.
Coordinate and monitor research administration, human resources, and fiscal processes related to training grants.
Provide expert support in managing externally funded fellow and trainee appointments at the University of Florida.
Develop and maintain databases to track past trainees, as well as the training and publication records of preceptors.
Work closely with faculty and staff across the department and university to ensure seamless coordination and support of grant-related activities.
Ensure compliance with university and sponsor policies and regulations throughout the grant lifecycle.
Expected Salary:
$75,000.00 - $82,000.00
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree and two years of experience managing training grants
Knowledge of and experience with personnel and payroll procedures, rules and regulations at UF. Knowledge of financial and PeopleSoft applications at UF.
Ability to work independently and determine job priorities.
Ability to understand and interpret rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal interactions.
Ability to interact cordially with co-workers to accomplish common tasks, must be a team player. Ability to function under highly stressful circumstances.
Knowledge of current rules and regulations of the State of Florida financial system for UF Finance & Accounting, Purchasing Division and Payroll.
Knowledge of general office procedures.
