Description

Our Client in the import/export industry located in Garden City, Georgia is currently seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager. This role involves overseeing all functions of the Payroll Office, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to labor and payroll statutes, and promoting accuracy and reliability. This role also requires the handling of various accounting duties, including monthly closing and finance projects.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary payroll contact for management and special projects in coordination with internal departments.

• Supervise and oversee payroll functions and duties, managing complex payroll processes.

• Prepare all compliance tax filings, review all payroll payments and all calculations for miscellaneous/special pay.

• Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)

• Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for federal and state labor and tax requirements.

• Act as the primary contact with Human Resources, IT, and ADP for payroll issues. Coordinate time schedules and payroll issues with timekeepers.

• Provide guidance to management on new IRS, and Department of Treasury tax and withholdings laws and regulations.

• Review and approve all payroll payments and calculations for all payrolls.

• Assist with month-end closing and management reports. Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries and reconciliations.

• Support financial and benefit plan audits.

• Work on other finance special projects, as needed.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, SAP, Full Cycle Payroll, and ADP - Payroll.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management or similar roles.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and ADP - Payroll is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Experience with Accounting Functions is crucial.

• SAP knowledge is a must.

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll, Benefits Payroll, bi-Monthly Payroll, and Weekly Payroll is needed.

• Experience with HR Payroll System, HRIS Payroll System, Multi-state Payroll, and Multistate Payroll is preferred.

• Knowledge of Paychex Payroll and Payroll Management is beneficial.

• Experience with Payroll - Over 500 Employees, Payroll - In-House, and Payroll - Garnishments is required.

• Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll, Process Biweekly Payroll, and Process Payroll is necessary.

• Experience with Reconcile Payroll, SAP HR Payroll, semi-Monthly Payrolls, Year-end Payroll is preferred.

• Ability to Record Journal Entries, Posting Journal Entries, and Monthly Journal Entries is crucial.

• Familiarity with ADP Enterprise and Major ERP System is beneficial.

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• A proven track record of managing multiple tasks efficiently is required.
