Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting a Senior Accountant for our manufacturing client on a 10+ month on-site engagement based in Gardena, California. This role will report directly to the plant controller and will be primarily responsible for a multitude of accounting activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliation balance sheet accounts, AP (proper coding), AR (Billing), and inventory accounting (cycle counts, reserves, true-ups and investigations). The right person for this role will have a strong understanding of GAAP and working experience with inventory accounting in the manufacturing industry.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of GAAP and manufacturing experience (inventory) strongly preferred

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, queries, large data sets 60k rows, etc.)

• Experience with Syteline or a similarly sized ERP

• Critical thinking with an ability to mitigate risk for the business while providing solutions

• Have a strong sense of urgency a self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Highly organized and able to juggle several time-sensitive projects simultaneously
