Job Summary

As a Data Scientist , you will work on analytical tasks and projects on huge amounts of data to support data-driven business decisions and development. You will be a part of the team that utilizes data science and statistical analysis to gain insight into market and customer behaviours to support aftermarket businesses.

Your responsibility will involve understanding existing data pipelines and algorithms to provide technical and business support, with the goal to enhance and optimize them with new techniques and models. As an ideal candidate for this position, you should have a solid background in using SQL and Python, knowledge of advanced statistical models and methods, as well as curiosity to explore and learn more.

We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as part of a team, who can communicate effectively and efficiently with business partners, and is willing to take ownership of their work. What You Will Do / Responsabilities

  • Maintain and support existing data pipelines and algorithms that are business critical

  • Provide support to technical partners as well as business partners to drive adoption

  • Explore and implement innovative and advanced statistical approaches to improve and transform solutions

  • Assist the implementation of next-generation techniques, including tests, validation and delivery

  • Communicate complex technical aspects and algorithms into understandable business language

  • Have a strong focus on continuous learning in the analytics field

What You Have / Required skills

  • Bachelor/Master or PhD degree (statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, biology or a similar field)

  • Relevant professional experience (usually 2-10 years depending on degree) utilizing quantitative analysis is required

  • Python and SQL are a must

  • Statistics / Machine Learning

  • Knowledge of data-science operationalization (Airflow, Great Expectations, etc.) is an advantage

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and business audience

  • Self-motivated, independent, fast learner, curious, business results oriented

Additional information

A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss or EU-25/EFTA citizenship is required for this position.
