Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Georgetown, MN. From: 04/01/2024 to 11/30/2024. Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm s operation. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 08/01/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, corn, sugar beets; Load inputs and transport to fields, load crops and drive truck with trailer to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools. Employer may, at the company's sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate non-CDL driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to perform work while exposed to extreme temperatures, with extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education is required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
