Description:

Reporting to the Director of Surgery, the Lead Certified Surgical Tech under general direction of the Service Line Coordinator works collaboratively with key customers and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the functions for the assigned service.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the assistant coordinator and content expert for managing physician preferences and enhancing surgeon engagement and satisfaction with surgical operations, providing training and education for surgical staff and surgeons on the use of equipment.

  • Supports the SLC in all matters related to equipment management associated with the Service to ensure peak performance.

  • Scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.

  • Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical intervention.

What you will need

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of an approved technologist program or previous technologist experience of at least 1 year.

  • Current certification as surgical technologist (CST) required.

  • BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)

  • Must have 2+ years surgical tech experience for lead role.
