Citigroup Risk Operations Senior Analyst - CRMS (Getzville, NY) in Getzville, New York
Institutional Credit Management (ICM) at Citi was formed to transform the way we execute on one of our core capabilities, Wholesale Credit. We work across all areas of the business, including banking, risk, operations, and technology, for products spanning investment banking, commercial real estate, trade services, and commercial loans. We are seeking an experienced individual to join Credit Risk Management Services group to partner with each of our core capabilities as we work to transform the lending operating model. In this role you will be responsible for supporting transaction lifecycle activities, establishing processes and procedures to align with policies, and working with technology to enhance system controls. You will be supported by the partnership of our global team and the surrounding wholesale lending franchise. This role offers developing professional specialty knowledge and understanding of industry standards and practices, application of analytical thinking and review and verification of documentation and data.
Responsibilities:
Review documentation and supporting evidence to ensure data is captured accurately and timely into the CitiRisk systems
Ensure that approvals and controls are in place in accordance with Credit Policy and local regulatory guidelines
Achieves permanent control readiness by ensuring that periodic control testing is performed on time and properly address operational risks
Provides training and guidance to new team members
Provides timely feedback, escalation, and resolution on issues/gaps identified and gain the support of all stakeholders for control related initiatives
Regularly evaluates, challenges and redesigns control requirements/processes to meet all Citi, local and other regulatory requirements
Achieves business goals/targets for all internal and external audits/reviews
Performs projects assigned on a case-to-case basis relating to remediation
Participates in User Acceptance Testing related to system enhancements
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-5 years’ experience – preferably in banking/financial service/analytics industry
Attention to detail required
Hands on experience in credit documentation review, knowledge of credit policies, guidelines and procedures surrounding extensions of credit
Knowledge of institutional lending and credit products, experience in risk data management a plus
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence stakeholders.
High level analytical research and investigative skill
Self-motivated, possess initiative and committed to quality
Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office with numerical skills
