The Glasgow Marriott is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate F&B Service Expert to join our wonderful team.

Undergoing exciting refurbishment in 2024, the Glasgow Marriott Hotel offers welcoming comfort with a modern style, ideally situated in the city centre near premier attractions like OVO Hydro, Hampden Park, and the University of Glasgow. The Food and Beverage Team is ready to move into their newly refurbished restaurant and bar mid-May and our associates are eager to start connecting with guests about the refreshing transformation in this buzzing and vibrant city.

The impact you’ll make.

Whether in the bar, breakfast, dinner or in room service, you will take our guests on a culinary journey, ensuring they receive elevated and memorable service. You will ensure you know every dish on the menu and are able to make recommendations and answer any questions our guests may have. You will ensure that food and drinks are being served quickly, efficiently and with a smile – if there are any issues, you will feel knowledgeable and empowered to deal with them right away.

What you’ll do.

• Ensure full product knowledge of all menu items and their service.

• Maintain an elevated service standard within the bar, restaurant and room service at all times.

• Take guest’s food and beverage orders, making recommendations on menu items, and taking the opportunity to upsell where appropriate.

• Ensure all customers enjoy quick and efficient service, and check with them that the meal is meeting their expectations.

• Ensure that the restaurant, bar, and room service are set up and ready for each service period.

• Take responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the Food and Beverage outlets

Who we are looking for.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a fast learner, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.
