Job Summary:

The Payroll Senior Processor is responsible for daily activities associated with timely and accurate production of weekly union and non-union payrolls in the US and monthly payrolls in the Americas regions using the enterprise SAP system. This position will work closely with project locations and Labor Relations Department. #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assists the day-to-day operations of the Payroll department

  • Coordinates processing schedules of groups for which payroll processing shares dependencies

  • Ensures accurate and timely payroll processing and employee payments

  • Ensures the integrity of the employee data held in the payroll system

  • Assists in the creation and balancing of all outbound files for banking, labor and tax

  • Coordinates the creation of third-party remittance file for accounts payable processing

  • Provides functional analysis, feedback and support for system design changes and enhancements

  • Supports the account reconciliation department monitoring payroll accounts

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business and 3 years of applicable Finance work experience or in lieu of a degree 5 years of related experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in organizing work activities to meet daily and weekly deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven capability to collaborate effecively within a team environment.

  • Self-starter able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks

  • Skilled in using MS-Excel for various ad-hoc analysis activities

  • SAP HCM Payroll experience (Preferred)

  • Familiar with journal entry process in Oracle Financial (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of Bechtel’s general ledger and chart of accounts (Preferred)
