Job Summary

The Lead PBX Operator oversees functions and workflow in the department, and assists with department coverage in the event of staff call outs. Assists Supervisor PBX in scheduling, updates and timecard review. Operates telephone switchboard and receive incoming calls. Uses overhead paging, two-way radios, and other communications equipment to relay messages and transfer information. Acts as an information source for callers and drop-by visitors. Announces and relays information concerning fire alarms, disasters, code blue, and other emergencies.

Job Requirements

a. Minimum Education Requirement :

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate’s Degree preferred. Must have acquired knowledge/skills to use correct grammar and spelling. Computer experience preferred. . Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel preferred.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement :

Minimum 6 months of telecommunications experience required. Previous switchboard experience and clerical experience desirable. Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills required. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

c. Minimum License Requirement :

Must be able to travel between campuses.

Pay Range:

$16.76 - $23.97
