Glens Falls Hospital Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department in Glens Falls, New York

Emergency Department Unit: * The Emergency Department has 46 treatment spaces including 32 monitored treatment spaces, seven dedicated to an internal Crisis Stabilization Unit, and four dedicated to a Behavioral Health. Services provided but are not limited to: Evaluation and stabilization of acute/ urgent/emergent medical conditions as well as trauma, and chronic conditions. The ED also services the needs of our mental health population, acute crisis stabilization, sexual assault victims, extensive cardiac, neurologic, orthopedic, and dental. *Position Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Assistant Nurse Manager The Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Nurse Manager, in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, plans, organizes, directs and actively participates in the nursing care of patients, works with the multi-disciplinary team to manage the day-to-day operations of the service. This includes problem solving, coordination of assignments and patient placement, staffing, CI activities, facilitation of staff competency, validation and performance monitoring. The Assistant Nurse Manager acts as a role model and a mentor to staff. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
