Job Title: Manufacturing IT and OT Specialist

Job Description: The Manufacturing IT and OT Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing facilities by managing both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) systems. They are responsible for maintaining and optimizing various systems, including machine PCs, production setup PCs, servers, and asset tracking. Additionally, they address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. IT Responsibilities:

o Set up, configure, and maintain machine PCs, production setup PCs, and servers.

o Perform regular patching and updates to ensure system security.

o Troubleshoot IT-related issues to minimize downtime.

o Collaborate with IT teams to address network connectivity and software-related challenges.

o Maintain accurate records of IT assets and configurations.

  1. OT Responsibilities:

o Oversee operational technology systems, including machinery and production lines.

o Monitor equipment functionality, perform adjustments, and troubleshoot issues.

o Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.

o Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.

o Track production quantities, equipment status, and any encountered issues.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency.

  1. Vulnerability Management:

o Regularly assess and address vulnerabilities in both IT and OT systems.

o Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats.

o Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging security risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma or equivalent (technical training or an associate’s degree preferred).

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are advantageous.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially with production equipment and processes.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
