Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Planning Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Goole site, working 40 hours per week from

Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00.

As a Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for co-ordinating core fleet & agreed partner hauliers to cover raw material collections from suppliers, transfers between warehouses and production loads from factories to warehouses. Working closely with two transport teams to maximise fleet utilisation, whilst working with our Central network planner and CI Manager to identify synergies and reduce average cost per lane. Always ensuring that safety, service, and savings targets are adhered to, with a customer focus on delivery performance. Working with a team ethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers’, whilst gaining trust and respectful business relationships.

Pay, benefits and more:

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensuring all movements are planned daily including:

  • Raw Material Collections

  • Warehouse Movements

  • Factory Production

  • Creating effective raw material backhaul plans in line with the customer’s expectations and Service Level Agreements.

  • To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.

  • Consistency in communication with respect to planning changes and service delivery with both customers and supplier hauliers, this is critical and must be maintained at all times.

  • A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Experience of transport planning in a 3PL environment is desirable.

  • Good working knowledge of UK Geography.

  • Awareness of Heavy Good Vehicles and relevant constraints

Successful tracking record in communication and building relationships with customers
