Lockheed Martin Integrated Communications Intern - Orlando/Dallas in Grand Prairie, Texas

We are looking for a creative, results-oriented individual to join our integrated communications team responsible for shaping the reputation of our business internally and externally.

As an Integrated Communications Intern, you will learn best practices from our employee and executive, community relations, media and trade show communications teams, while also experiencing cross-functional and cross-business area collaboration. Your responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

• Assisting in developing integrated communications plans, including various communications deliverables like video scripts, memos, webcasts, presentations, read-aheads, etc.

• Assisting with the preparation of external executive communications

• Developing innovative ideas for communicating to employees and external stakeholders

• Supporting on-site employee and executive engagements

• Drafting social content

• Writing and editing stories/videos for employee-facing intranet

• Proofreading content to ensure quality and messaging consistency

• Leading any appropriate special projects, as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited college in a discipline related to Communications (Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Customer Engagement, Social Communication, Broadcast Communications or other relevant area).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
