Are you an established CFO who exerts strategic thinking and execution? Our client, a midsize multi-entity company, is seeking a leader who has a track record of leading an organization through growth. Responsibilities include directing financial operations, preparing reports, forecasting future growth, and formulating policies on banking, funds management, and accounting practices. With expertise in capital raising and adapting to change, the CFO plays a pivotal role in leadership, communication, and decision-making within the management team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO supervises the Accounting department, budgeting, and audits, while collaborating with department heads. Major duties involve preparing financial statements, analyzing projections, identifying expansion opportunities, managing investments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory entities.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the creation of financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports and tax filings

• Analyze sales and profit forecasts against actual results, compare budgeted expenses to actual expenses, and adjust projections and budgets as necessary.

• Offer strategic advice on long-term business and financial planning.

• Oversee the investment of funds and collaborate with investment bankers to secure additional capital for expansion efforts.

• Collaborate with senior management to streamline budget proposals, provide access to financial data for projects, and ensure compliance with contracts and grants.

• Research revenue prospects and economic trends, assess internal operations for cost-saving opportunities, and propose process improvements.

• Manage risk by analyzing company liabilities and investments, assess and manage capital structure, and oversee fundraising initiatives.

• Track business performance using monitoring tools, implement corrective actions as required, and generate comprehensive reports for earnings calls and management.

• Supervise finance staff and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Internal Revenue Service.

• Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting team, offering strategic guidance to executive management.

• Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting processes, and the preparation of financial reports.

• Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the risk and compliance management framework.

• Cultivate relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.

• Review all formal finance-related procedures.

• Uphold and promote the company's mission, core values, and quality policy consistently.

Requirements - Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • 5+ years' management experience

  • Public accounting experience a plus

  • 10+ years' experience in accounting or finance

  • MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred

  • Strong technical background in public accounting (GAAP)

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
