Job Summary - Director, Sales - Public Sector
The Director, Sales - Public Sector is a key member of the sales leadership team for Priority Health. Responsible for the coordination and execution of the following:• Leading sales and strategy in the labor sector• Promoting Priority Health's position as an emerging leader in the labor sector• Working with cross functional teams on developing and executing growth strategy• Oversight of all public (municipality & public school) new business opportunities, ability to consult on private sector opportunities with labor segments• Working with current Priority Health labor sector clients & client experience team members to enhance client(s) labor market specific experiencesThe Director, Sales - Public Sector is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of Priority Health's strategic business plan. Focus on execution of strategic initiatives to increase market share statewide, and partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure profitable growth. Lead launch of existing and emerging growth initiatives in the market and assist in the successful launch of new labor division. The Director of Labor sector will establish and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, public sector administrative leaders, union leaders and other community leaders. The Director of Labor will be visible in community events, statewide labor association events, statewide public sector executive leadership events, and take an active role in promoting the direct and indirect benefits of Priority Health.
Essential Functions - Director, Sales - Public Sector
Lead the labor sector team in developing and executing strategies to increase membership and achieve annual growth targets. Ensure team has deep technical understanding of all priority health products, strategy, and sales process as well as the intricacies of selling in the public and labor markets.
Develop an in-depth working knowledge of PH products and services. Continue to expand distribution channels by managing and building relationships with leaders in public sector administration, leaders of labor segment unions, agents, business coalitions, and other purchaser representatives. Participate in developing and launching new products.
Serve as an integral member of the Sales Leadership Team, always bringing new ideas and looking for new opportunities. Establish outstanding participatory partnerships with other departments within Priority Health.
Work with underwriting counterparts to ensure competitive and profitable investment and pricing strategy is executed – while developing and delivering unique product offerings tailored to the labor sector.
Work with Corewell Health government relationship teams to leverage existing municipality & union relationships and work collaboratively on initiatives to build Priority Health as a brand presence within the public space.
Work with marketing department to develop a public relations campaign targeting the labor sector; develop marketing materials that support labor specific strategies; and coordinate regional business community activities for the labor sector sales team.
Coordinate with statewide labor associations to become fully integrated in their conference schedule, sponsorships, and educational speaking opportunities. Own growth targets for segment and provide leadership team with goal attainment updates and projections on a regular basis.

Qualifications - Director, Sales - Public Sector
Required Bachelor's Degree Marketing, business, or related area.
Preferred Master's Degree Business administration or related degree.
5 years of relevant experience Management Preferred.
7 years of relevant experience Progressive experience in managed care or health insurance sales (with understanding of ASO market) Required.
7 years of relevant experience Benefits sales and support to the public/labor sectors Preferred.
