This role sits within our Enablement Team, which is responsible for building standardized templates, documenting best practices, mentoring product teams, and collaborating with DevOps champions across IT. This role has a primary focus on DevOps implementation and maturing the DevOps mindset, meaning we’re looking for someone to help drive/build behavior of DevOps and SAFe agile best practices across the enterprise.

This position can be considered for remote work if you live within one of our 6 footprint states - Michigan (headquarters), Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, or Kentucky.

( What You'll be Doing):

  • Responsible for working with platform architects & domain experts to develop and execute on our DevOps roadmap.

  • Drive development of existing DevOps platforms and contribute to development of new DevOps platforms with analysis and identifying areas of modernization to increase product team quality and performance.

  • Responsible for working with platform architects to develop and execute on our DevOps roadmap.

  • Mentors and coaches’ other junior members of the Enterprise DevOps & agile teams.

  • Provides functional and technical expertise on vendor applications and interfaces.

  • Interfaces with product team DevOps champions to develop cross team solutions, tools, best practices, and support for pipeline automation.

  • Key knowledge and skills of Visual Studio IDE to support development teams.

  • Azures/Multi -cloud along with Azure build agents.

  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CICD) design & pipelines, version control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and automated testing frameworks.

  • Repository management tools and concepts such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.

  • Drives engagement with ITS Security and Infrastructure teams to strengthen our DevSecOps footprint.

  • Understanding the integrating of various DevOps tools into ServiceNow to support change & incident management for our CICD pipelines.

  • Works within the SAFe Agile framework to understand how to support product teams.

  • Partner with Cloud CoE & Core infrastructure teams to develop & enable capabilities using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, YAML for product teams

  • Understanding of IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, YAML would be helpful with setting standards.

  • Coordinates new product reviews, tests and pilots with other IT members, customers, and stakeholders.

  • Coordinates feasibility studies/proofs of concept, to evaluate solutions.

  • Assists in production support and maintenance of applications and licensing as needed.

  • Actively participates in all team Agile ceremonies. This job role may also provide facilitation of activities utilizing SAFe templates.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s or 12 years' experience (or comparable combination of education and related experience).

  • SAFe DevOps certification (SDP) preferred, any other SAFe certifications (SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, SPMPO) are helpful.

  • Prefer experience in business application design, development, installation, and modification.

  • Knowledge of project management techniques is required (cross-functional experience is highly desirable).

  • Expertise with implementation and configuration of vendor packages/business systems.

  • Experience as a team member on project teams in a cross-functional environment. Experience on Agile teams is preferred.

  • Strong business knowledge, with hands-on experience managing vendor packages for the business.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

  • Knowledge of secure code design principles and practices.

  • Working knowledge of SAFE agile framework preferred.

  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.

  • Knowledge of agile practices in a cross-functional environment preferred.

  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
