PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare, layout, and weld stainless steel and carbon steel components used in sterilizer vessel manufacturing and assembly according to blue prints and/or cut sheets\ 2. Understand and apply wire feed and stick welding techniques. Work quickly and skillfully with the hands. Accept responsibility for the work performed. Visualize what the finished product should look like\ 3. Operate welding equipment with skill\ 4. Use a disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding\ 5. Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece\ 6. Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead\ 7. Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)\ 8. Examine weld for bead size and other specifications\ 9. Grind or clean weld joint of the work piece\ 10. Recognize and repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes\ 11. Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture\ 12. Follow all requirements of the PRIMUS Quality Manual\ 13. Responsible for following all PRIMUS safety requirements including the hexavalent chromium abatement procedures and equipment\ 14. Discuss errors in prints or production orders with supervisor or engineer to eliminate manufacturing problems\ 15. Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy via the Kanban system\ 16. Facility housekeeping (5S)

1. Dress code is casual (T-shirt and jeans. No sweats). Safety glasses and shoes are mandatory\ 2. Hair neatly groomed and trimmed\ 3. Maintain a positive attitude, and ability to work agreeably with customers, co-workers, and manager\ 4. Willingness to help discover and implement ideas to improve work processes and welding performance\ 5. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out routine reports\ 6. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

7 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out work instructions\ 8. Understand and implement PRIMUS policies and procedures

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)\ Two to three years production welding experience or equivalent welding school education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle or feel\ Ability to talk and hear\ Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds\ Specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision\ Ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day\ Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing required by the PRIMUS Associate Handbook and outside agency requirements\ Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts\ Exposed to welding fumes and airborne particles. Exposed to moderate noise level\ Ability to operate a fork lift (requires certification through formal training and testing)
