The Field Technician is responsible for operational duties such as inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable pipeline operations. This work includes activities such as running pipeline cleaners, ROW maintenance, and DOT pipeline compliance. Employee(s)in this position will have environmental and safety activities associated with their responsibilities.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.

  • Responsible for startup and shut down of pipelines during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance activities.

  • Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation exposures.

  • Assists in One-Call - Pipeline Locating, encroachment, excavation & Crossings

  • Maintains records in accordance with Pipeline regulatory requirement.

  • Maintains records in accordance with environmental compliance requirements.

  • Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, manual valve actuators, various types of pumps and injection systems.

  • Performs work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to navigate through various software programs associated with I-pads, mobile phones or laptop computers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Willing and able to with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

  • Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds.

  • Regularly stoops, squats, kneels, and crouches for durations up to 30 minutes.

  • Works extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Available and able to work on-call schedules.

  • Works safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.

  • Works in conditions that include inclement weather.

  • Has extensive knowledge of computer operations.

  • To wear personal protective equipment such as, flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, hearing protection, steel toed boots, and hard hats.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in natural gas pipeline operations.

  • 2 or more years of Natural gas pipeline operations experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $70,300 - $93,100 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
