As a Certified Medication Aide, you will provide basic resident care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as routine medication pass, basic treatments and related tasks necessary to maintain the medication and treatment administration. Performs C.N.A. duties such as resident care as needed to feed, bathe, dress, groom or move residents, or change linens.
Completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant course, completion of a pharmacology course in the nursing program, or passing the State Nursing Assistant exam for Certification as well as the Certified Nursing Assistant listing on the State and Federal Registry required. Completion of accredited medication assistant program followed by a passing score of the state approved test.
Experience as a Nursing Assistant in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
Excellent computer skills strongly preferred.
Certified or willingness to obtain dementia care certification strongly preferred.
