SENIOR MANAGER, GLOBAL ASSURANCE, AMERICAS: BECOME THE

NEWEST MEMBER OF THE VF FAMILY

Reporting to the VP of Global Assurance and Internal Controls, the Senior Manager, Global Assurance-Americas is responsible for the development, oversight and delivery of the annual risk based internal Audit Service Plan (ASP) for the Americas region. ASP may include financial, operational, compliance and information systems audit support, as well as consulting or other special projects (e.g., internal investigations) as needed. The Senior Manager will partner with other VF Global Assurance (VFGA) leaders to ensure global risk coverage. The Senior Manager leads recruiting efforts, supervises, and develops the audit team in the Americas; establishes annual, quarterly and project specific plans, and oversees other assigned administrative areas.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Establish and maintain partnerships with key business stakeholders with the objective of being appraised of company initiatives and risk areas. Partner with VP and other VFGA leaders to perform a global risk assessment to identify high risk areas. , Partner with VP and other VFGA leaders to develop the annual Audit Service Plan using inputs from the risk assessment, regular touchpoints with key business stakeholders including the Enterprise Risk Management function, and the review of other relevant information available. Develop a schedule and assign resources to ensure adequate coverage for the Audit Service plan for the America region. Collaborate with Ethics and Compliance (E&C) and Human Resources (HR) on investigations associated with whistleblower and other allegations brought forward via the Ethics Helpline. Monitor the status of the audits, communicate issues, highlights, or delays to the VP on a timely basis. Accountable for activities throughout the audit lifecycle, including:

Guiding the team to develop risk-based work programs including data analytics procedures,

Providing technical guidance, advice and training to auditors and contractors to ensure that the objectives of each project are met.

Ensuring the delivery of high quality, value adding audit results,

Delivering high quality audit reports,

Presenting findings and recommendations to management.

Supporting VF business units in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures when requested.

Offer a holistic experience to the VFGA team by matching learning needs with available audits for each team member, with the aim to ensure VFGA staff is adequately trained to carry out their assigned duties in accordance with VFGA policies, standards, and procedures. Coach team members by sharing experiences, feedback on how and where to improve, and suggesting training opportunities. Identify and propose areas to deep dive during the VF Global Assurance's annual L.E.A.P. training with the aim to improve team members’ soft and hard skills. Consistently meet established KPI targets. Participate in strategic initiatives such as hiring, continuous improvement/auditing, organizing training, etc.

Skills for Success:

  • 8+ years of professional experience required, auditing experience with a major accounting firm, or “Blue Chip” financial/audit/operational component in industry preferred.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s in one of the following fields of concentration – Accounting, Finance. Business, or related areas.

  • Preferred Certification(s): CPA, CSCP, CIA, CFA, CGMA, CMA, CFE or international equivalent (i.e., ACCA).

  • Knowledge of the IIA framework, standards, and best practices and proven knowledge of COSO related internal control concepts and conventions required.

  • Ability to build relationships and offer compelling ideas/insights to a diverse population of VF associates, including executive/senior management.

  • Experience with Data Analytics, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams a plus.

  • Strong project management and facilitation skills required to manage all activity relating to ongoing compliance and simultaneous projects of a complex nature.

  • Strong leadership traits and ability to operate with great latitude and resourcefulness.

  • Strong verbal and written English skills, additional languages a plus.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

Some travel may be required, including travel outside of the U.S.

Hiring Range :

$104,000.00 USD - $130,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
