Job Description
Summary:
Ensure the coordination of the PDS Project Managers, and the management of the development projects of pharmaceutical products from clients of Patheon.
The transfer takes place through a feasibility analysis, the evaluation of the transfer and production costs, the coordination of the transfer procedures, the assistance to the effective start up of the production, in respect of the client requirements, the cGMP, Patheon’s interests and the company quality standards.

Primary Duties :
Technical Support to Business
Provides technical support for new more sophisticated business opportunities with the existing/potential new clients.
Attends technical meetings to define the scope of new projects, in support of the Business Development and quotes team.
Research and support new business opportunities while meeting with the existing/potential clients in technical meetings.
Evaluates the client production process compared to Patheon production systems (gap analysis).
Attend business reviews and client meetings.
Tech Transfer Projects Management
Ensures Patheon PDS team is meeting client requirements related to scope.
Generate key documentation including the Technology Transfer Checklist, Gap Analysis that includes process design, Technology Transfer Master Plan/Scope, Technology Transfer Report, Project Timeline and Action Item lists.
Ensures project interdisciplinary groups, assigns and coordinates the specific tasks; identifies root cause of technical problems as well as project team management until resolution. From a technical standpoint will contact clients with respect to their project requirements.
Attends the project periodical meetings with the Site Management in order to share the timing and achievements of the projects.
Leads and responsible for the coordination of all activities that take place within the PDS Project Management group.
Optimization of Production Processes
Assist with the optimization of production process, with continuous efforts to increase project savings on the technical side, while maintaining compliance with cGMP and company quality procedures.
Identifies and coordinates the initiatives related to the projects to minimize production costs, by identifying or implementing new solutions within quality standards to deliver agreed upon timelines towards 100% on time launch.
New Projects
Supports the Business Development team with review of technical costs of the new job orders, provides the material technical details, production schedule, processes, supply costs to reflect Patheon interests.
Assists with defining technical risks of new projects.
Team Management
Manages and coordinates and controls workload for team by defining of new objectives, evaluates performance, ensures the right level of training and development as needed guarantee a high level of performance and motivation.
Generating and implementing development plans for PDS Project Managers.
Identify gaps in core proficiencies. Develop and implement training program accordingly.
Trains, mentors, and coaches Project Managers.
Assigns Project Managers to appropriate projects.

Assists project managers in resolution of complex project issues.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and uses resources to meet schedules and goals.
Supervision:
Interacts cross functionally with peer managers, usually concerning resolution of operational issues.
Raises issues to senior management that may impact project delivery.
Interaction and Influence :
The position has operational control over the activities and resources which produce the results.
Frequent cross functional interaction across the site.
Oversight Provided:
- Supervision of the activities of the PDS Project Management team on site
Education:
- B.Sc. in scientific field or pharmaceutical technology.
Experience:
Typically requires 5 years of related experience in pharmaceutical techniques and production.
Minumim 3 years leadership/supervisory experience required.
Equivalency:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.
