Emerson Human Resources Business Partner in GRONAU (WESTFALEN), Germany

Are you an HR professional looking for an opportunity to grow? We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner at our Reliability Solutions site in Gronau , Germany, to join the site leadership team and be responsible for all aspects of HR management.

Our Reliability Solutions business develops and manufactures machine monitoring and diagnostic systems for rotating machinery such as motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps, turbines, and compressors. Our solutions improve the reliability of Plant assets by applying predictive intelligence to allow our customers to determine the health of the machinery, and plan scheduled maintenance.

We are searching for an energetic HR professional to handle matters related to talent management, organization culture, capability, and leadership. You will be the strategic partner to the local management team, reporting to the Site Leader, aligning HR programs and initiatives with the strategic objectives of the business. In addition, you will functionally report to the Europe HR Director and be part of the international HR team for the wider Systems and Software Business Group that support region-wide HR programs.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Build strong partnership with management and employees to coordinate HR actions, create a work environment equipped to meet business needs and maintain active two-way communication.

  • Proactively identify HR challenges together with the HR Director Europe and offer solutions to create an engaging work environment.

  • Lead local HR projects and support Europe/global projects.

  • Develop effective HR policies, procedures, and programs to uphold fair and equitable practices and guarantee adherence to local employment agreements. Interpret, advise, and counsel employees and management on policies and HR procedures.

  • Analyze trends and metrics, seeking opportunities and strategies to improve trends in turnover, retention, and key indicators of employee engagement.

  • Work with HR Colleagues in Centres’ of Excellence Teams to implement HR programs including talent acquisition, Onboarding, Learning and development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; partnering with HR leadership and/or legal as needed/required.

  • Collaborate and drive company communication strategies.

  • Drive employee engagement strategies to support a positive work environment.

  • Collaborate with EHS regarding any safety concerns brought forward by employees.

For this role, you will need:

  • Prior HR experience ideally with a combination of operations, employee relations and business partnering.

  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English & German.

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and Emerson policies.

  • Experience and skill with HR information systems and digital collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost integrity.

Preferred qualifications to set you apart:

  • Previous experience in a multinational, matrix organization is helpful.
